Cen-Tech digital multimeter kickstand
Description
This is a kickstand for the cheap Harbor Freight Cen-Tech brand [7 Function Digital Multimeter](https://www.harborfreight.com/7-function-digital-multimeter-63604.html) . If you are into electronics at all, you probably have a bunch of these around. Harbor Freight gives them away every once in a while (with coupon) and even when they aren't giving them away, they are really cheap (like $6). I buy them because, well, if it breaks or gets lost I'm out a whopping $6, at most. Great for field work, ham radio emergency go bag, tool bag, loaning to other people, etc. The annoying part about them is there is no stand to tilt the meter back / stand the meter up. This "thing" fixes that problem. Granted it isn't "industrial strength" but it should be adequate for normal use. And, of course, if it breaks, you can always print another one! Feel free to "beef up" the thickness of any of the components you feel are too weak. The openscad file is fairly parameterized so changes should be pretty simple. This item is in 2 pieces that easily snap together. The grip goes around the meter and the leg (stand) tilts out the back to hold the meter up at about 45 degrees or so. You can change the angle of the meter by sliding the grip up and down the meter if needed. I store my meter with the cords plugged in and then wrapped around the body. This holds the leg up against the meter for storage. NOTE: to print the clip part, you'll definitely want brim around it. Otherwise it will end up getting knocked over during printing (at least that's my experience, YMMV). I also turn on supports internal to the part to help print the little pocket for the leg hinge. Depending on your printer, you may need that or not. The leg with honeycomb pattern is very flexible. If you want a more stiff leg, use the solid one. If you use the openscad model, it does take a while to render, especially when you use the honeycomb leg fill.
