Description
For many years I've been wanting to make the heirloom sewing machine from my mom to back operate with full feature, just 2 weeks ago I got my first 3D printer and got really crazy ideas with it. I opened and fixed the sewing machine myself so I knew I could just eyeball a few features and try to design one in Fusion360. The cam teeth part is modular, it has 19.5mm square knob that fits not too permanently to the 20mm square negative on the selector wheel knob, so in case it breaks, I can easily print the cam part. additional post-processing; I superglued the teeth to make strengthening layer with it, and sand the dried superglue to make it extra tough to move the inner teeth. the smoother the surface, the tougher it will be.
