Sando's Expando - Makerscoin - Print in Place

"Xmas_Expando_only_body.stl" has now been fixed that all rings are level with body Update: i have uploaded a Step and Fusion file for anyone to change to there liking. also a new version is available which has a few more rings (Exando 3d Logo Bigger.stl). ++++++ Big Thanks to Chris Warkocki (an Admin from the Prusa Community Forum FB Group http://tinyurl.com/originalprusa) who brought this Print Contest into life: https://prusacommunity.com/december-2018-print-contest/ without this contest i would have never come up with this idea The Expando Makercoin expands more then 10 x its size and is really fun to play with https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y2jV-tL8eKg&t=14s model prints with body and rings together. u dont have to print them seperatly but u can if u want u need to turn the model in ur sliceer that the rings touch the bed, i will correct this in Mesh mixer soon. while printing this ur z height needs to be correctly set or maybe even raised a bit so that the first layer isn,t wider then the second layer. also watch out and avoid printing with an Elephant foot. your extrusion muliplier settings probably also makes a difference to how well it works i Printed this with Chris Warkocki's Slic3r profile Pretty PLA V3.ini (MK3). Profile can be downloaded in the below group in the ffiles section https://www.facebook.com/groups/prusacommunity/files/ The only change i made was to the Top Solid Infill setting which i decreased to 0.38 to improve text quality i printed these with 20mm/s outer Walls/Perimeters Speed which makes this print quite slow because ur basicly only printing Perimeters. changing this setting to 40mm/s lowers the print time to almost 50% but had some impact on my tests making the Expando not quite as smooth. do not turn infill off, it's needed to print correctly. no Support needed and DO NOT use a Brim/Skirt attached to the print ps. i'm not releasing the other models yet which u see in my Video beacuse there are still some problems with how thy work. This model works the best currently pls posts comments and makes and let me know if u were able to get a well printed print that worked or if u encountered any problems in the process. any tips critic or recommendations are welcome if ur rings didn't come out perfectly u can always just print a set of Rings seperatly or in another colour then mix them for a coloured model. i also made a Lid which can be easily inserted to stop the rings from Expanding. Lid V2 should work better but i haven't tested it yet. i'm not 100% sure if the Lids have enough space to fit in because i did some small changes to the length off the rings. they are a quick print and i will test this soon if nodoby comments about them before i get around to it have Fun with these and if u like them then pls leave a like, thx.
