Camera Holder Prusa I3 Mk3 for Logitech C210 and others
Description
Mounts your webcam on the left front extrusion to allow a view from the side at your print. Camera plate is designed for Logitech C210. Works with extrusion 30x30, as on Prusa I3 Mk3. If you find other compatible printers, please let me know. The holder is mounted at the extrusion. The balljoint-base is mounted in the hole of the holder. The camera plate has a 10mm ball to fit in the balljoint-base. See photo for how to mount the camera onto the plate. If you like you can add the ledstrip-holder below the camera base. This will shed some light on your prints. If you buy led strip with 10mm width and 24V, you can insert the strip into the holder without any further material, and connect it to the 24V base of the printers motherboard. Some filament is quite brittle. At least the balljoint-base should be printed from a less brittle filament if possible. If you like you can put the strengthening part on top of your holder, so there is a little bit more strength available at the hole the balljoint-base will go into. Again this is only needed if you use very brittle filament. If your camera is too close to your heatbed, you can print the so called extension, which you will mount ontop of you holder instead of the balljoint-base. The balljoint-base goes then into the extension. Since the camera plate should be compatible to quite a few cams, I do not expect any hassle here. However, if someone wants to design his/her own plate, just implement a 10mm ball to fit at the balljoint-base. Glad for any feedback I can get.
