CR-10 Enclosure Hawk Filter Parts

CR-10 Enclosure Hawk Filter Parts

Description

These are the parts for an enclosure I made for my CR-10. It uses cheap activated carbon respirator filters by Hawk. This dramatically reduces the smell of the fumes of ABS printing for me. This filter set up is in no way a complete filter system. The little research available for 3D printing nano particles suggests that even HEPA filtration is not quite enough. If you wanted to increase the filter capabilities you could add in P100 filters and figure out how to move air through efficiently. It's 3D printing and little is known about safety, I just made this to give myself a big more confidence. Basic safety principles still apply, print volatile materials ABS, Nylon etc in a responsible manner. Here is a part list and estimated cost for each part: 1" x 2" wood - Cost depends on your local dealer. Handi panel - about $20 for a 4' x 8' panel (1 panel) Rigid hard insulation 3/4" thick - $12 per 4' x 8' sheet (1 sheet) Lexan or plexiglass for window - $10 Spray adhesive for attaching insulation to paneling - $8 3" vent hose vinyl - $4 VIVOSUN 4" inline blower - $30 Hawk activated carbon respirator cartridges - $7 2 pack Your time and energy - I dunno Your lungs and general health - Priceless If you are curious about the build here is a video on it: https://youtu.be/KifGQXSLiVo Equip
