Gel Ear Seal Adapters for 3M Peltor Hearing Protectors
Description
This adapter allows you to use cheaper gel ear seals designed for David Clark and other aviation headsets on 3M Peltor hearing protectors. The 3M Peltor hearing protectors are commonly used by paramotor pilots as custom communication headsets. The 3M branded gel ear seals usually cost at least twice as much as some of the other gel ear seals available for other aviation headsets. The aviation type gel ear seals use a wide lip to hold the seals on the headset. The lip is not present on 3M Peltors so this adapter provides the lip. This adapter is designed to be printed in two pieces that snap together to avoid the need for support material. A single piece version of the model is included if you prefer to try it with supports. The two piece models include three versions with various notches for speaker wiring and a microphone. Update 1/5/2019: Uploaded a new version with a slightly larger relief for the mic. 5mm vs 4mm Update 1/15/2019: Uploaded a new lighter version without wire or mic reliefs. It also has a slightly larger outside diameter to better batch the ear cups.
