insert - jalnaBucket 001
Description
- This is a simple honeycomb/hex insert that slides into a bucket. I eat greek yoghurt. It comes in 2L buckets. I have a lot of empty buckets. Maybe one day they will become filament. Not today. - The photo shows a shorter version with thinner walls (batteries) that is superseded by the larger one (tools). If you want shorter then just cancel the print at that height.... or something. In theory my original model fills the entire height of the bucket, so I can upload taller ones if anyone cares. - Assembly: Insert print into bucket. Take a permanent marker and scribe it around the inside of the bucket to mark where the insert ends Remove the insert Cut the bucket (shine a light into the bucket so you can see the line, and your fingers. Two or three passes of a blade tip to mark a clean furrow, and a final pass to cut through exactly in the furrow works best) Reinsert the insert Clean up the small tools on your desk by putting them in the bucket sections. Glory at the beauty of an object that floats like a small boat of organisation on the sea of chaos and small parts that is my workbench. - works for me: PLA, 0.4mm nozzle, 0.8mm walls/top/bottom, specify 0.4mm external perimeters in your slicer... probably none of that really matters with this print. Disable 'detect thin wall detection' in Slic3r does however matter. You get stronger prints and more logical toolpath flows with it disabled.
