Plastibin - Trash/Recycling Bin Powered by Plastic Bags

*** INFO *** The Plastibin is a compact trash/recycling bin that uses plastic bags as liners. A standard-sized plastic bag, like a grocery bag, will work with the Plastibin. The Plastibin is designed to fit in spaces that are relatively small. Places like: -dorm rooms -workshops -bedsides -bedrooms -desks are recommended for this bin. This garbage/recycling bin can not hold very heavy objects. Additionally, if you are placing sharp objects inside the bin, it is recommended to line the bin with two plastic bags. Some bags are more fragile than others, so your mileage may vary. *** INSTRUCTIONS: *** Printing: In order to assemble this bin, you will need to have the parts. Please print the clip, as well as the four pieces that make up the rim. This amounts to five pieces. You may be able to print all pieces in a single print. I recommend that you put the print quality at either standard or high, with a %age of infill amounting to 15% or more. Additionally, a brim and slower print speed is strongly recommended. However, some people may not find the brim useful if they have a build surface that adheres well. Assembly: After printing, you should have five pieces in total. For this, you will also need very strong glue, like super glue. I recommend that you liberally apply glue throughout the process in order to increase durability. First, start by taking pieces of the Plastibin rim and liberally apply glue at each end of the pieces. All of the pieces of the rim shall fit together like a puzzle, since there are perforations at the ends of the pieces, which makes it easier to assemble. Next, take the mounting piece and make sure that the rim is facing upward. Finally, put the rim against the mounting point and press down until an audible click is heard. Make sure that the rim is fully seated in the mount. Mounting: The mounting piece of the Plastibin is designed to be flexible in how it is mounted. You can either mount it to an object using tape, glue, or a clip, or you can screw it/mount it using nuts and bolts to an object using the provided holes. If the screw that you are using is too big, you can resize a hole by drilling it out. Finally, there is the option to create a custom mount. Usage: In order to use the Plastibin, you will need a plastic bag or any other bag that may be compatible. Simply take the loops of the bag (referring to the loops that are used to carry the bag), push them over the curved sides of the rim, and push them into the hooks located on the same side. Next, take the other sides of the bag and make holes on each side. This can be achieved with the help of the hooks located on the flat sides of the rim, which face towards the opening. Then, take the holes and poke them through the hooks located on the flat sides of the rim.
