Ender3 SD Card Adapter With Extended Trays
Description
Modified with permission from Elproducts. The part was modified in Tinkercad, and a couple of extension trays have been added. The Front Logo was removed with due permission from ELproducts. An extension tray (the Box in Red) was added in front - Gives this accessory a continuous straight faced profile in the front and also store odds and ends. In my case, I used this tray to stash a lot of small letters that I had printed out on the E3 and another printer. These small parts would otherwise get everywhere! This Tray is held in place by the same bolts that hold the original part to the front of the Ender3. As a result, accessibility to the original USB window was lost and therefore, a new one was added up front on the main body. Other than these mods, the main body is bolted on to the E3 in the same manner as the original thing from Elproducts. The left front channel of the E3 is a pain to house keep. Plastic residue and crap just keeps getting in there. Therefore, I added another utilitarian tray (the Blue box) to address this mess. In the pictures, this tray has been simply placed on the channel - this works for me. But if you want to make the set up permanent, the tray can be attached to the main body with two bolts driven into the main body from the inside, and the tray can be bolted on to it with a couple of nuts. This tray is pretty handy to keep the small Allen wrenches, or any of the small E3 parts that you might be using to fit the accessories, or something you might be needing in a hurry. Why the separate parts? 1. It takes too long to print if all 3 units were combined into a single monolithic part 2. You can bolt on the trays or take them off entirely based on your needs 3. Besides, you can fine tune the two additional trays if you don't like their original form factor.
