Description
Aircraft cabin pressure is not ambient, a vehicle-static-source can significantly improve static pressure accuracy. This simple box seals the sensitive static pressure sensors from cabin pressure fluctuation from airspeed changes and turbulence. This has been designed to fit both an MPXV7002DP based airspeed module and the small yet mighty 10-dof WT901B sensor with barometric pressure sensor. This was designed to glue & screw to the back of a [SoftRF case](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3041339). It can integrate with gliding computers, but it could be used on many aviation projects, as a ADHRS source for a PFD. v2 UPDATE: After the first run, I thickened the outer walls to 2mm (was 1) increased the slot depths to 2mm (was 1), made it 2mm deeper and added a generous static tube fillet. v3 UPDATE: The static barb makes this difficult to print. v3 includes a 9.8mm (3/8") wholes for NPT push fittings. This makes it much easier to print and easier to install in the plane. V2 & V3 where much improved all around. I really like the quick releases on v3. V4 UPDATE: The static didn't line up well with the internal port. I've re-arranged it so it seals to the sensor block. I also added recessed labels for "PITOT" and "STATIC" so you don't screw that up installing.
