Perimeter and Infill Overlap Test

Perimeter and Infill Overlap Test

Description

This is a custom design that I have made to test my slicer's infill/perimeter overlap. This issue of holes along the perimeter can be caused by a few factors such as under-extrusion and printing speeds. For more details on this problem, see: https://www.simplify3d.com/support/print-quality-troubleshooting/#gaps-between-infill-and-outline Not all slicers have the same setting names and you may need to look up the equivalent setting for your slicer. I used Slic3r Prusa edition and adjusted the "Infill/Perimeter Overlap" setting found under Print Settings>Advanced>Overlap You can scale the Z-height of this model in your slicer to meet your needs with respect to the number of top and bottom layers you use, as well as your layer height. I have designed this to be as cheap as possible to print by using the least amount of filament to get the test results needed to refine your slicer settings. Below are some images of the print that I got for the various settings.
