Prusa MK3 PSU FAN 120 mount
Description
This is a custom mount for a 120x120x25mm 5V USB fan for the original Prusa i3 MK3 PSU. I placed the PSU outside of the enclosure, but it still gets really hot, specially in the Summer. So I decided to use a 5V USB fan to cool it. The 120x120x25mm USB fans are really silent and provide enough CFM to cool down the PSU. I've been using it for a few months and the difference in temperature at touch is really noticeable. You can use 12V or 24V 120x120 fans, but they may not be as silent. Because I have the PSU on a vertical position, I came up with this custom mount to place the FAN near the PSU, occupying minimum space possible. The mount fits really tight without need of tape or other fixture material on the inside. Printed in ABS because it is my main material of choice for all prints. Material required: - <a href="https://pt.aliexpress.com/item/120x120x25mm-Preto-CPU-Ventilador-de-Refrigera-o-Do-USB-Do-Computador-Silencioso-Caso-do-Desktop-PC/32833555407.html"> 120 x 120 x 25 mm 5V USB FAN - 2 M4x40 machine screws - 2 M4 nuts - 5V USB PSU (regular phone charger) You can use longer screws because they will not collide with the PSU. Created in SOLIDWORKS 2019, but It provided a bunch of other formats so you can import and change it to your liking.
