Film pulley for 16 or 8 mm (Split version)
Description
This is a roller pulley for transporting both 16mm and 8mm film stock. This version has been split in half to eliminate overhangs, while including registration pins for easy assembly. Print two of these for each single roller that you want to make. After printing, apply your favorite adhesive and stick the two halves together. It can be helpful to a C-clamp to hold the halves together. I designed this roller with the intention to use a 1/4"-20 bolt as the axle. The hole will be a little undersized after printing, so you'll want to take a 17/64" bit and drill out the center of the pulley after assembly. This will ensure that the pulley spins freely with a minimum of wobble.
