Fuk couplets (Chinese New Year)

Fuk couplets (Chinese New Year)

Description

Fuk is meaning "fortune" or "good luck" in Chinese. This is one of the Chinese Couplets that every family must post during Chinese New Year or even post it on the door for all year long. I just follow the step of https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3365898 to make it as I found "FUK" is more representative than "spring" in term of the Chinese New Year culture. Also, the black colour used in 'Spring couplet' does not look very pleasant as Chinese avoid using back in Chinese New Year. Therefore I Change the colour to red and gold. The two colours that Chinese love most. The "fuk" can be displayed upside down or in a normal position. Placing it upside down is because it shares the homophone "dou3" meaning fortune is coming, but since Cantonese have 9 tones, the homophone of upside also equal to pour "dou2". Therefore some people do not like it as it means pouring the fortune out so they will not put it upside down. So how to display is up to your decision.
