Bear Raspberry Pi Box w/o Step Down Mount
Description
I wanted to shorten the box a bit since I will not be using the printer to power the Raspberry Pi. I have a MK2.5 and a MK3 and wanted them to look the same as possible. I will be using a short USB cable to run along the outside of the case to connect at the top and use a standard 2.5 amp power connector for the Pi 3 B+. I haven't printed this yet, will do so very soon. There is still 1 mount for the step down unit in the box, I left it as I may use it to mount a loop for a zip tie. I'm hoping with this little bit I can use the stock cable length, but I will still likely need to lengthen the cables. You should be able to use the original Raspberry Pi cover from the original project. Previous version was cut a tad too short and the hex nuts on the bottom weren't complete. This version should print fine, although with some awkward looking portions on the inside of the box where the raspberry mount meets the Einsy mount. Edit 2/4: Made the opening for the rpi cover bigger. Previous one was too small. I was able to get it to fit with a lot of sanding. Edit 2/10: Mounted on frame. Wires are just a tad short on my MK2.5 on a MK3 Bear Frame. I don't think this would work on a standard MK2/2.5 Bear frame either as they are a couple of mm difference in width. I haven't tried this on my MK3 Bear build yet, but I suspect the same result. You will have to at least lengthen the Power cable wires, maybe even the Z motor wire on that side. The end stop for the Y-axis, y-axis motor seem to reach. There are about 10mm I could knock off where the pi is, but I don't think that will be enough relief for the power cables.
