Description
CHANGE NOTE 02/04/19 - Added slots in the spool for zip-tie clearance. Shrank OD for fit. CHANGE NOTE 01/31/19 - Added loose filament end retaining feature to the "Sector" models. A tool-free, hardware-free, 120mm buildplate compatible completely printed master spool. "Core" part has an OD of 3 inches to match the cardboard tube that 3d solutech "Master Spool" filament is shipped on. CAD files in STEP format are provided if you would like to change the OD of the "Core" to suit the dimensions of the filament you are purchasing. For end users that use ball-bearing spool holders that hold the outer rim of the spool you will need to print out 12 sectors (6 per side). Otherwise you can get by with 3 or 4 sectors per side. The "Sectors" lock into the pegs in the "Cap" piece. If they do not fit after printing simply deburr or file the holes in the "Sector" prints until they do.
