RopeSnap - Tent line tensioner
Description
Are you tired to those line tensioners, that are too big, require complicated knots, get lost, or bend and break easily? RopeSnap solves all these problems and looks cool doing so. It comes in two varieties, with closed and open side. The open side enables attaching to a rope without having to thread the end of the line trough any holes, while the closed version provides extra strength. The attachment to the end of the line is done with the simplest knot available, and the resulting knot will fit partially inside the tensioner. Designed and tested with 3mm paracord and elastic rope. Prints without supports in around 10 minutes on my Creality Ender 3. Print with biodegradable PLA and loosing it in to the nature is not so big deal! To attach to a rope, tie a overhand knot to the end of the line, thread the line trough the hole in the end from the bottom side, and thread the returning line trough the second hole and trough the teeth. To adjust the tension, simply tilt the tensioner so that the line can move freely and snap it back when suitable tightness has been achieved.
