Alfawise U20 Dial Indicator Bracket

Alfawise U20 Dial Indicator Bracket

Description

I downloaded and printed a couple of different dial indicator brackets which didn't work due to the bore for the dial indicator being WAY too small, like 6.5 mm diameter compared to mine at 9.55 mm, didn't want one that snapped onto the hot-end housing due to lack of stability. First design used only 3 magnets but was not stable enough to suit me, added more magnets for stability and tweaked its dimensions, if magnets are not a snug fit use superglue with baking soda as a filler to retain magnets, baking soda makes superglue set instantly, adds strength and is easily machined. Works great on my Alfawise U20, may fit other printers with a steel hot-end housing. Uses 6 10 mm X 3 mm neodymium magnets to attach it to the housing. I set my initial bed to extruder clearance with a feeler gauge (.04 .08 mm) and then zero that setting at all 4 corners with the dial indicator, so far so good thanks to more consistent bed leveling.
