YATS Yet Another Tube Squeezer
Description
Designing a reliable tooth paste tube squeezer is not quite simple because the forces within the squeezer may be quite high. There are some designs available here, but there are comments that the designs break too easily. So I decided to make a new design (inspired by a squeezer which I bought years ago). The basic idea is to have the forces along the printed layers, not across the layers. Some considerations: - Please ensure enough infill. The thing I printed has 30% infill (= 27g PLA in total) and my print works perfectly. - Don't print the body upright, print it standing on the side face (like on the pictures). This ensures that the forces inside the body are along the layers and not across the layers. - The gap on top of the body is set to 0.4mm. On my printer the lips did not touch (which is good). Also the tubes are squeezed firmly enough. I hope the clearance works for most printers. If not, you may need to adjust the gap according to your slicer / printer settings.
