Alien Head Nesting Box (wall mount)
Description
*If you got a Alien head, what do you do with? Build a nesting box for the birds of course! ;-)* Thank you to OrdSolutions for the Alien Head. It 's made to use multi-annual so there is a cap on the back you can clean it. If you like to use it over years PETG should you first choice. The dimensions should fit for the common garden birds. Do not scale it. You will need a 300x300mm printer like the CR-10 to print it. (You have to place it diagonal on the build plate.) Use support for the ears. And the inner too so it will not become too smooth for the birds. Probably "only touching build plate support" is enough. There are six tiny air holes, make sure they will be free. (in the nose, in the ears and behind the ears) If possible use thick layers (or print it in less quality) so the skin is not to smooth and do not paint it (The eyes should be ok). I suggest a minimum of 1mm wall thickness. You should print it in a natural color like brown, dark green, maybe white, gray, black. Not in pink, red, yellow and so on. I don't know whether birds like plastic but I hope they do. If you like put some old tiny leafs in so it looks more natural for the birds. There is a wall mount. Depending on your printer and your wall you have to scale it a bit and print it again until it fit. Please use a strong infill for the wall mount. Place it not less than 2m over the ground and not in the full sunshine. Make sure other animal can not reach the nesting box. (cats or similar) The hole should point to east or south-east (in Europe) I did not print it yet, just design for fun (and of course the birds) Do you love this crazy thing? Let me know. If you made it please give feedback (and please a picture).
