Malyan M180 - complete Upgrade [Dual Bowden Extruder] [silent]
Description
**Malyan M180 - Upgrade to Dual Bowden Extruder to improve performance** I wanted to change the heavy dual edxtruder head to a mouch lighter bowden extruder, so the M180 could printer mouch faster with less noise. Cause of the limited slicers you can with the mighty board and it's .x3d format, I also changed the complete board and lcd screen. (also to get silent strepper drivers) *I removed the black plastic covers from the front and sides to get better acess to the print bed, but that's optional* *Updated parts to fit alternative dryin bearings will be added soon* What you need: --------------------- - 40cm of V-slot 2020 aluminium profile - 4x V-slot wheels - Aluminum Gantry Plate - new printer board and display - 5x TMC2208 - 2x V6 hotends - 2x bowden drives - 2x LM8LUU bearings (or alternative 4x "DryLin R - RJ4JP 01-08") - 2-3x optical endstops - PTFE tube - fans optional: - 24V LED stripes - power modul - ??? - profit Where to get: --------------------- - TMC2208 (pack of 5) I've made best experience with stepper drivers from FYSETC: http://www.aliexpress.com/store/product//3480083_32848553467.html Heat sinks: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/1/32851156033.html - Printer board and display After newest experiences I would recommment FYSETC F6 board for people with Marlin experience: https://www.aliexpress.com/store/product//3480083_32969291649.html *(also avaible on FYSETC store as full kit with stepper drivers, or even buy with classic Marlin LCD depending on personal preferences.)* or Lerdge board for most easy to setup: https://www.aliexpress.com/store/product//1948493_32962063464.html - Power modul for automatic power off after printing or at short circuit: https://www.aliexpress.com/store/product//1948493_32809334869.html - Model cooling fan: *make sure to buy 24V version, one or two as you prefere* https://www.aliexpress.com/store/product//1948493_32813027533.html - Bowden drives: (2x) https://www.aliexpress.com/item//32663762254.html *choose with drive gear* (cheap and easy way) - Mounts for extruder motors: (2x) *mount at the back of the M180* https://www.aliexpress.com/item//32812747579.html - Hotends: (2x) *make sure to buy with 2m wires* https://www.aliexpress.com/store/product//1948493_32839644652.html (24V kit D) *my hotend mount does have holes to optional mount an 40mm fan instead of the small noisy ones that comes with it* - Endstops: (2-3x) *I think only these will fit my parts, sorry* https://www.aliexpress.com/item//32808711841.html - PTFE tube (2x) https://www.aliexpress.com/item//32889180926.html - Aluminum V-Slot Gantry Plate *full set with wheels, nuts, screws etc...* https://www.aliexpress.com/store/product//1752067_32968686608.html - Nuts, Screws etc. https://www.aliexpress.com/item//32926295712.html *M5 Drill Tap (hotend mount need to get thred drilled, and 2020 V-Slot alu profile may too)* https://www.aliexpress.com/item//32877137174.html *M5 screws (you need something like 20mm, 30mm and 40mm)* - 40cm Alu 2020 V-Slot profile: *somewhere on eBay* Parameter setup: --------------------- - recommended stepper driver: TMC2208 (jumpers on MS1 and MS2) @ 0.4 Vref on X and Y axis and 0.3 Vref on Z and E - Steps per mm: 94; 94; 1585; 94 (X;Y;Z;E) - Acceleration: 1200; 1200; 20; 800 (X,Y,Z;E) - Max speed (mm/s): 300; 250; 75; 100 (X,Y,Z;E) - Printing area (mm): 245; 150; 150 (X;Y;Z) - PID values heatbed: 181.6; 8.4; 981.1 (P; I; D) - PID values hotend: 1169.9; 61.3; 5581.9 (P; I; D)
