250 slimbuild (zmr rework)
Description
thinnest, most streamline, flattest build design I could come up with using the zmr250 as a basis again. fundamental differences that are immediately notable is the general frame/arm layout, I specifically created this design to correct the slightly odd motor to motor dimensions of the stock zmr250 frame (namely the frame isnt a true x configuration which leads to a degree of instability and flight flaws) I re-positioned the arms to make this design a fully true 250 X frame (this did require drilling 4x new holes in one of the main plates but nothing to insane or particularly hard to accomplish) secondary to the frame correction I wanted to take the concepts I used on my glowrider (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3065911) design a step further and literally slam this design to its limit, I literally could not make it slimmer. but, that's not to say I made any sacrifices... f4 45amp osd AIO esc&fc board (iirc its a tattoo f4 AIO) Frsky x6b RX Foxeer arrow micro Eachine tx03 0/25/50/200mw vtx Racerstar 2403 2300kv motors Onboard DVR (optional but worth it imho) 268g AUW (minus lipo) in config above: flies like a trooper, very fast, lots of grunt, very rigid & durable added dvr with decent cam means I dont fly a actioncam best part is its now lost the typical zmr flight flaws as its a true X frame now added a visual example of the frames depth.... thinner than the width a 5pence piece, 14.9mm thick, any thinner and the FC/ESC would have been grazing the top and buttom plates which would have transmitted vibes (not to mention Carbons very conductive and would have undoubtably shorted something out), to further make that depth possible I didnt use standoffs for the fc and instead have it seated on a 2x layer of 3m double sided foam tape which kills vibes and holds the board exactly were I wanted it.
