Nose Clip for Swimming (remix of ilmiticoggg's Nose Plugs)
Description
I had a pair of these ONCE as a little kid, and SORELY missed them when they got lost. Now, in the era of 3D-printing, I realized that I CAN HAS AS MANY AS I COULD EVER WANT!!!!!!! >:D The models I found already on Thingiverse didn't look too great, so I took the best one and refined it a wee bit. I made the nose-pads into 'fuller' closed loops, and I added a small loop so that swimmers can wear these on a neck-string IN ORDER TO NOT LOSE THEM! ANOTHER trick to not losing them in the pool, or wherever, is to PRINT THEM IN A WARM NEON COLOR (RED, PINK, ORANGE, OR YELLOW) OR BRIGHT GLOW/PHOSPHORESCENT MATERIAL!! With a glow material, in a private pool, you can just wait until nightfall, leave the pool light on for a few minutes, then turn it off and spot this little glowy speck. (IF it hasn't already ended up in the pool filter.) I'll get pics later, but mine printed nicely in PLA, at 0.1mm layer-height, on the first try. (Generally, I also like to use slower speeds, because I just like my prints to come out nice.) I still chose to post-process it with sandpaper, because there were a FEW sharp 'boogers' that printed on it, which make them VERY uncomfortable when your face is wet. Mine worked extremely well at keeping water out of my face, but so far I've only tried them in the bathtub; no rigorous pool/outdoor/diving testing yet. You might just have to figure that all out for yourself. Either way, now you effectively have a piñata full of these, in any color you want!! PUT THEM TO GOOD USE!! ;D
