Cable Chain Mount for Printrbot Metal Plus
Description
At my last maintenance cycle I was considering adding a cable chain going to the extruder carriage on my Printrbot Metal Plus. The only mounting type I could find was an attachment that fit over the extruder motor. I didn't like that idea so I decided to design my own to mount to the existing cable management arm. It utilizes existing threaded holes for attachment. I also added through holes to secure wires with wire ties. I designed it so you can install it with out having to take the wires completely off the machine. Pretty much any of the open link chains will work. The ones I used are from www.thingiverse.com/thing:11978 After printing and analyzing the setup I decided against using it due to still losing about 40 mm of Z height. That's better than the over the motor mount but still too much to suit me. Thought I'd go ahead and share in case someone else would like to take advantage of it. I have included an STP of the model in case someone wants to make changes.
