Fume Exhaust Adapters for Garden Hose

Fume Exhaust Adapters for Garden Hose

Description

I Didn'T Want To Cut Into The Printer To Exhaust The Fumes, So I Figured That Since The Pipes That The Filament Spools Are On Are Hollow And Threaded, I'D Use Them. Firstly, I Designed A Cap To Cut Off Airflow Through The Right Pipe Since I'M Not Using It. Next, I Made An Adapter That Would Allow Me To Use A Garden Hose To Connect To The Outside Threads Of The Other Pipe And Keep The Filament Spool In Place. Then I Created Another Adapter To Hold My Fan (1.59") In Place Over The Exhaust Pipe. Of Course All Of This Exhaust Needs A Place To Vent Out... So I Came Up With A Design That Fits Through A .5" Board And Is Screwed Into Place. A Standard Garden Hose Can Then Be Attached. To Keep Rain From Entering The Hose, An Exhaust Hood Was Made. I Put A Grill Into The Exhaust Hood To Help Prevent Bugs And Whatever From Crawling Inside (Also Provides Support For The Printing). I Also Placed A Piece Of Screen Material Between The Sections For A Good Measure Of Protection. I Had To Design A 90 Degree Adapter For My Hose Since The Wall Is Too Close To The Back Of My Printer And Would Kink The Hose. I Made My Own Supports For The Adapters And They Can Be Simply Removed With A Twist Of Some Pliers.
