Hypercube extra build height with this one weird trick!

Hypercube extra build height with this one weird trick!

Description

Along my search for a better bed I thought of this weird modification to increase the z-height up to 220mm. Flip the whole xy-gantry upside down. By flipping the motion mechanism it is now possible to utilise the entire z-shaft. Now the top position of the bed (when it touches the nozzle) almost completely coincides with the top position of the linear guides on the z-shaft. Before there was some travel distance at the top of the z-shaft left over that was not utilised when the bed touched the nozzle. Simply print the 17mm spacer block, flip your entire gantry upside down and reverse the motor directions in marlin. It's free real estate! ----------------- This used to be part of my triple leadscrew bed project which I abandoned. I thought it would be helpful to make this modification it's own thing.
