Door Opener Button for LG LRM1260SW Microwave Oven
Description
My wife and I bought an LG LRM1260SW microwave oven in June of 2010, and within just a couple of years, the plastic hook tabs of the door opener button broke off. Ever since then, we had to secure the button in place with an unsightly piece of duct tape. That is, until today, when I finally designed and 3D-printed a replacement button. Our replacement button was printed using grey PLA filament, unlike the polished-chrome electroplated plastic original. Not as flashy looking as the original, but just as functional as the original before it broke. Hopefully, the 3D-printed replacement will last much longer than the original button (and hopefully for the remainder of the appliance's useful life). But if not, I can print another replacement in about two and a half hours.
