Raspberry Pi VGA Case with fan
Description
I needed a case for a Raspberry Pi with a Gert VGA 666 adapter, but as my environment is very hot, I needed a fan to help with the cooling of the Raspberry Pi. I remixed this case to include a 25mm fan. The fan screw holes are 2.5mm so they can be threaded using an m3 tap or screw. (https://uk.pi-supply.com/products/GERT-VGA-666-hardware-vga-raspberry-pi) The problem is that the assembly guide shows that the through hole resistors be soldered on the top of the board (See images 5 to 7). This makes the assembled board slightly too high for the case. There are 3 ways to remedy this. 1. Purchase the SMD version of the kit, or pre-assembled adapter. 2. Solder the through hole resistors on the bottom side of the board (The same side as the SMD pads) 3. Remixed the case to have an indentation the same size as the board, rather than the 2 narrow indentations of the original design (image 6). As I have 2 Raspberry Pi boards, I will build an adapter as in remedy 2, and remixed a case for the already built adapter (Remedy 3) To Do: 1. Design fan cowl. (similar to the last image)
