Fort & Dragon

Fort & Dragon

Description

[OpenSCAD](http://www.openscad.org/) and [Sculptris](http://pixologic.com/sculptris/) are totally different modeling tools, however, combining them is an interesting attempt, especially for models with regular patterns or mathematics. One year ago, I created [Dragon - proof of concept](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2332523) for proof of concept. The curve of the dragon body is based on the [bezier_curve](https://openhome.cc/eGossip/OpenSCAD/lib-bezier_curve.html) function and its scales are arranged by the [along_with](https://openhome.cc/eGossip/OpenSCAD/lib-along_with.html) module. [(8, 3) torus knot fort](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3451146) is a torus knot. It contains repetitive elements so programmable tool, such as OpenSCAD, is handy while modeling. Forts always require dragons, right? I brought them together and tried to remove the unnatural feeling expressed by code. That’s time for Sculptris to be on the scene.
