Bontrager Transmitr remote mount for road handlebars

Bontrager Transmitr remote mount for road handlebars

Description

I recently posted my [Transmitr remote mount](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3451563) for MTB handlebars (as that's where I use mine) but realized that I didn't have a version that would work with road handlebars in the common 31.8mm dimension. Like the MTB mount, this needs only the Transmitr mount and the two M3 screws that come with it, one 6mm and one 12mm. Like the MTB version, the 6mm holds the Transmitr to the mount while the longer one clamps it down to the bars and holds the Transmitr in place. The difference is the shorter screw now inserts from inside the clamp, so has to be installed first, as you can't get to it once the mount is on the bars. **Okay, what is that?** If you're not sure what the Transmitr remote is all about - it's a remote that pairs with Bontrager's excellent Transmitr lights so that you can control the lights from one location. It can pair with up to 7 lights and control high beams/low beams and even act as turn signals when paired with the right taillights. It's a slick system that I find indispensable for quickly and easily adjusting light intensity while doing night MTB rides. Drop the brightness down to preserve the battery while going slower or riding between trails, and then up the brightness as the speed increases. See [the Bontrager lights page](https://www.trekbikes.com/us/en_US/equipment/cycling-accessories/bike-lights/c/E312/) for more information. _You sure seem to do a bunch of Trek/Bontrager related stuff. Do you work for Trek?_ Yep, I work part-time in a Trek-owned bike shop, but that's it.
