ULTIMATE 13.1 Workout Bench from Bowflex 3.1

ULTIMATE 13.1 Workout Bench from Bowflex 3.1

Description

July 6, 2020 - Another update, I have added an additional adjustment for the seat, it has been tested and works well, this allows one more adjustment for the seat which puts it at a very slight angle, it keeps your feet on the floor, and prevents you from sliding off of the bench May 16, 2020 - Again updated the design, the seat spacer has been improved and simplified, it now also avoids any need to cut the frame and can simply be installed using the mounting tape https://youtu.be/9M2wX5IQAYU Apr 13, 2020 - I have updated the designs to account for a change by Boxflex, it has been confirmed to work. The newer version also includes a lot more adjustment for the back. The seat adjustment can still be improved and that will be a future project. https://youtu.be/mb6xCadXje8 I created these parts because I was not completely satisfied with the amount of adjustment on my Bow-flex 3.1 bench. I have tested 3D print strength in the past, and with a lesser infill, an ABS print can handle beyond 1000 lbs before breaking. The loading applied here is evenly distributed over a moderate surface area, this means there should be no issue with strength. I do not recommend PLA for these prints. I print very slowly with the ANET A8 to minimize vibration, so the total print time was approx 20hrs. You may be able to print this in 12-15 hours. The back spacer has an option to house two 1/2" x 1/8" rare earth disk magnets while printing. I have not tested this yet, however there is a small amount of tolerance built in to allow for success on many printers.
