Bondtech (Clone) Extruder for Hephestos 2

Bondtech (Clone) Extruder for Hephestos 2

Description

*COMMUNITY:* If you've made your own partcooling part let me know and I will add your design. I'm not 100% satisfied with the partcooling. - Bauteilduese_Variante_1 - Bauteilduese_Variante_single Update 07.11.19: I've made some design improvements with the partcooling. I'm still not 100% satisfied with the cooling on tight overhangs. I've uploaded two alternative partcooling designs. Update 13.08.19: I've uploaded the STEP-file of the assembly. Unfortunately the holder isn't exactly the one fromt the STL-files ''Bondtech_Halter_verkuerzte_Version...''. The one from the step-file is missing the hole and a small lip where the radial fan 5015 sits. Nevertheless it should function as well. Update 06.07.19: For better cooling I've upgraded the partcooling. It is called ''Luefter_V1.4''. Uptdate 08.06.19: For a tighter fit you can use the original E3D-Fanmount. If you like to use a 40mm fan I can recommend this adapter: E3D 30mm to 40mm fan adapter by Core3D_Tech (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2748800). Hello Makers I've designed this extruder mount to fit a bondtech BMG - Clone (geared) direct extruder on the BQ Hephestos 2 but it should work with the original Bondtech too. The first Version (still on my printer) is using a classic NEMA17. This version however contains a NEMA17 pancake stepper with a rated current of 1.7A/phase. It is possible to use a larger NEMA17 though but there will be a loss of build volume on the x-axis. Please watch out and estimate your own x-limits. This Version should be better but I don't know yet if there is still a build volume loss. I will update as soon as possible. The Bl-touch is ''integrated'' and uses some M2 or M3 screws. The sensor is quite near the nozzle but i've noticed no problems so far printing PLA at 220-230°C. Maybe you will need some spacers to reach the right probe distance in the z-axis. Carefully check if the sensor reacts before the nozzle hits the bed. The 5015 fan has a tight fit and should snap into place. If it should not fit you can remove the housing clamps of the fan with a knife and tighten the two fan-halfs with two M3-screws on the mount. The Probe Offset in Marlin (Config.h): define X_PROBE_OFFSET_FROM_EXTRUDER -26 // X offset: -left +right define Y_PROBE_OFFSET_FROM_EXTRUDER -35 // Y offset: -front +behind define Z_PROBE_OFFSET_FROM_EXTRUDER 0 // Z offset: -below +above . . . if ENABLED(AUTO_BED_LEVELING_LINEAR) || ENABLED(AUTO_BED_LEVELING_BILINEAR) // Set the boundaries for probing (where the probe can reach). define LEFT_PROBE_BED_POSITION 15 define RIGHT_PROBE_BED_POSITION 170 define FRONT_PROBE_BED_POSITION 20 define BACK_PROBE_BED_POSITION 260 Material required: 2x M3x12mm for cable chain mount 2x M3-nuts for belt mount 4x M4x12 for Extruder mount 3x M3x36mm for Nema/Bondtech-mount 1x E3D V6 40mm Fan Mount (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:506958) 1x Fysetc Bondtech clone 1x E3D V6 1x 5015 Fan 1x Bl-Touch Maybe I will update this post with some drawings/explosion views.
