silicone sock and fan duct.
Description
At first I wanted to desing a silicone heat block sock that had a fan duct integrated in it. but than I wondered if high temp silicone would be isolant enough to protect an abs fan duct glued to the heat block? I could touch it with my finger without burning it, so I had to try. So I desiged This fan duct, that I printed with abs. Than I filled it with high temp silicone (could be engine gasket or stove ones) and glued it directly on the heat block. N.B. I had to re assemble My hot end to unscrew the nozzle so that it gets as long as possible. I Could also have bought a new one that is longer. Than I setted my turbin fan to 100% at all times (exept 3 firt layers). So this keeps my fan duct cold. I have absolutely no problem reaching print temperature and the air flow could hardly be better. So far it seems to work very fine! To be remixed!!!!!
