Kitchen Washing Up Tray

Kitchen Washing Up Tray

Description

Designed to work with under-mount sinks (flat countertop) and the towel rod and mounts sit slightly below the counter level to help give it a "home" position. Rotate the parts as necessary and you should be able to print without any supports, though you may want to use a slight brim or raft on the rod mounts. Print the rod vertically and use a bit of a brim to keep it in place. Print the rod and mounts as solidly as you can - extra walls and infill. I actually printed this using a 0.8 nozzle to make it a bit more solid, but that shouldn't necessary, though you may want to increase your printing temperature to get better adhesion between the layers on areas where the rod mounts insert into the tray. I had to use a small drill bit to help clear the holes in the tray for the rod mounts and I used some CA glue to hold them in place. The tray covers a very large surface area for printing and may be subject to curling, so you may want to use some adhesive or make extra sure you've got a clean bed (I treated my PEI sheet with some high-percent isopropyl alcohol first). Print at what resolution and infill you want. I kept it heavy because I didn't want it shifting around much on my sink.
