https://youtu.be/iwWsHzd8Bbw Note - The LCD Screen and Knob are re-works of the Prusa LCD mount which is open source. Thanks to Prusa for this.... Now added a filament sensor mount, get it from - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3526524 Here are a few mod's I've done on my CR-10S 3D Printer. I bought a damaged one with a blown motherboard so decided to upgrade rather than just replace. My shopping lists include MKS Gen L 1.0 Motherboard 2 x TMC2130 Drivers 24v heating element 24v CR10 Pro Heated bed Magnetic Bed 5v Noctua 40x10 Fan I'm running Marlin 1.1.9 with mesh bed leveling enabled as the heated bed I received was far from flat! The printer is now a standalone version as I hated having the control box separate. I designed a motherboard / mosfet case and also a new PSU case that excepts the original socket and switch. I needed to do a bit of soldering on the heated bed as I wanted to keep the original connector, I didn't really need to do this.. but it's just the route I took. I also needed to join both Z motors onto the same connector, so a bit more soldering was required. I've had to do lots of little tweaks in the firmware as I'm running the original 12v cooling fans do the extruder is connected to D7 (extruder 1 output) and I've throttled the pwm output on the cooling fan to 70, I then connected the motherboard housing fan to pin 5 (servo), this then turns it on and off with the stepper drivers. The best thing about all this is when it's not printing it's silent, not a single fan is running at all :-) If you want to download the firmware I'm currnetly using to have a look at then you can get it from http://diyrc.co.uk/images/CR-10_MKS_Firmware.zip Have fun...
