Christmas Tree Stand (weldable)

Christmas Tree Stand (weldable)

Description

This is a model of a welded tree stand I designed and build. It can be 3D-printed relatively easy but is meant to be used as a reference for welding it full-sized. # Welding Building it requires four M10 screws & nuts and 4 endcaps, look for "40x40x5" in https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3546855. Order these lengths of 40x40x5 square tubing: - 4 * 250mm - 4 * 400mm - 4 * 200mm Combining sizes due to the angled cuts can save 7*40mm = 280mm. Order a tube with a diameter of 114,3mm and the thickest walls possible for the core. Use a bandsaw or chop saw if you value your sanity! Cutting them by hand with an angle grinder lead to really imprecise contact points with a lot of grinding and welding needed. # 3D-printing To 3D-print this the welded on nuts need to be removed, this can be made inside most slicers since this model is made from individual components. It is also advisable to scale it down to 30% or less, since it has a diameter of around 60cm.
