Samsung Galaxy S5 Stand (Magnetic Charger) V2
Description
Samsung Galaxy S5 Stand (Magnetic Charger) V2 Second version of my previous design you can find here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3394396 The screw to fasten the cable had some wear after some time, so I replaced the thread and screw with a solution, which can be clipped. Also the front was slightly redesigned and some measurements adjusted, but except that, it is the same as the previous version. General info about this: "The idea is that once you put the phone in the stand it will start charging without you having to plug it in first. This requires that the usb adapter is permanently in your phones micro usb. The one I use is very small and you can carry your phone with the adapter attached in your pocket without a problem. This is the one I use: https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B06XQZMHMT It was design to work with my Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo, but will work with any other smartphone which is not thicker than 10 mm, not wider than 72 mm and the usb is central." Designed with SolidWorks, sliced with Cura and printed with the Anet A8, without any support material. Update: I've used this for almost a month and it just works. No wear, the fastening of cable holds and instant charge by just putting the phone in place is just nice and no hassle. update 08.11.2020: added another version which is V4. it's an alteration of the stand. the two other parts remain the same. basically it's only the two cross beams from the back made a little look nicer. it had been just straight strengtheners, because it moved a little backward. i drew splines, instead of straight lines. no designer here, still room a lot room for improvement. due to calling a new printer my own (sidewinder x1), i needed something to print. so since this has been standing on my desk for a long time and i didn't like the back cross beams too much, this was the perfect chance to fire up solidworks and test out the new printer. while i still can improve making splines look better, the printer worker flawless. I used to use cura as my my slicer, however I guess I'm starting to move on to prusaslicer. oh yea and and it was printed in glow in the dark filament. I'll add some pictures when i do.
