Mini HingePliers (a metamaterials experiment)
Description
This is a smaller version of Thing 1787860... which I forgot to post until now. It's not simply scaled-down from Thing 1787860, but has relatively beefier structure while maintaining a good tolerance between surfaces that shouldn't touch. It is a quick print to produce this tiny, but quite strong, pair of pliers. Yes, that is a dime sitting next to it. The design is a true metamaterial: the entire object is literally one piece, even the hinge and spring, all printed without spans (and hence without supports).
