PowerSpec Ultra 3D and FlashPrint Settings For AmazonBasic Clear PETG
Description
UPDATE:04.07.2019 I mounted the black colored AmazonBasic PETG onto the right extruder and tested raising the temp to 240c. Came out a bit better than the clear at 235c. I just started to print using PETG and needed to be able to control the PowerSpec Ultra 3D printer beyond the settings offered by PowerPrint, which is the application that comes with it. Since the printer is a clone of the FlashForge Dreamer in a FlashForge Creator Pro body and can use Marlin style g code, I tried several different slicers with no luck, i.e. Cura, MakerBot Desktop/Print, Slic3R and IdeaMaker. I discovered FlashPrint, which ships with the Dreamer and is available for free. It has an export mode that is not available in PowerPrint. This mode makes many settings available for tweaking. After some simple tweaks, I was able to successfully print a 20mm cube and a benchy. I have attached screenshots of my FlashPrint settings and pictures of the benchy. There are some minor defects, but waaaaay better than it was before.
