Remington Model 700 Sling Stud Picatinny Bipod Mount

Remington Model 700 Sling Stud Picatinny Bipod Mount

Description

So You Just Picked Up A New Remington Model 700 And Are Eager To Race To The Range To Test Its Tack-Driving Precision When You Realize The So Called Awesome H-S Precision Stock (It Is Awesome) On It Doesn'T Have Any Good Way To Mount Your Picatinny Bipod, So You Won'T Even Get To See The Accuracy If You Can'T Aim The Rifle In A Stable Manner. Not Wanting To Wait For A New Bipod Or Mount, I Took Some Quick Measurements And Extruded Some Drawings Of A Nato Spec Picatinny Rail, Clicked Print, And There, A Bipod Mount! .. Or Something Like That (See Pics). _____ Took It To The Range And It Broke Almost As Soon As I Propped The Bipod On The Table :( So I Used Some Wood For Support That Day, But I Still Needed A Temporary Solution While I Wait For My New Harris Bipod To Come (Shown In Last Pic -- It Mounts To The Studs Directly). I Removed The Unused Picatinny Slots, Resulting In One Slot Right In The Middle, My Hopes That This One Would Be Stronger. It Lasted At Least One Range Session, And My Gun Was Only A .22-250 So The Recoil Forces Exerted On The Layers Wasn'T Too Bad, But Now I Have A Real Mount Solution (See Last Pic!!). _______ This Made A Great Temporary Fix So I Am Posting It Although I'M Not Expecting That Many Downloads Because Most People I Know Who Shoot These Guns Are Equipment Snobs And Will Frown Upon Your Cool 3D Printed Plastic Mount Because It Isn'T Metal. Metal Is Ideal, But I Can'T Fabricate That Quickly, Cheaply And Precisely All At Once. Hooray For 3D Printing!
