Enclosure Corner Post

Enclosure Corner Post

Description

This is a corner post design to support an enclosure mounted on an Ikea Lack table, and house my Prusa I3 MK3S. There are two different posts, one for the back two posts and one for the front two posts on to which the doors are mounted. I have mounted the doors using 3D printed hinges and superglue. The back posts due to support limitations are designed to fix to the acrylic sheets on one side and not the other, however if two posts are put together and each supporting opposite sides they seem to work well. The acrylic sheets then should just slide in and be held in place. I am using a 550x550mm MDF Wood sheet for the top (6mm thick however can be any thickness), and 500x400mm Acrylic sheets for the sides (2mm thick this is important). The posts are cut in half due to print size limitation however are designed to be bolted together as well as to the table and top MDF sheet. A hole will be required to be drilled in the top of the MDF wood sheet to allow for the filament to feed in through, I have used a 10mm drill bit and included the file for the filament guard to go in the hole. I have used 40% scale printed Benchy's for the door handles since they look great!! Sadly when I cut the acrylic sheet for the door it cracked a lot so I recommend either buying the right size acrylic sheets or take care when cutting them.
