HPI Roto Start button holder
Description
The button on my HPI Roto start burned out on a flooded engine :-) I tried replacing it with several different buttons but they all burned out also after a few starts. Picture 1 to 3....all failed. Fujisoku APE-1F >> burned Radiohm ST1034E >> burned Buttons i tried vary from 24 v to 120v at 1 to 3 amp but they all fried. So that i went for some more drastic buttons. 12mm rond 250V/1A >> lasted about 2 months 16mm round 250V/3A So my advice is use the last one (16mm) https://www.bitsandparts.eu/Drukcontacten/Drukcontact-12mm-rond-rood-250V-1-5A/p1098854 https://nl.aliexpress.com/item/5-stks-partij-R13-507-16mm-Lockless-Reset-250-v-3A-Drukknop-Ronde-Schakelaar-Bouton-Poussoir/32950742265.html I made a holder that you can just clamp in the roto starter. Sand a little of the switch thread so it will go in the holder with some force so its holds. Just solder de wires. Works great !! Ok update :-) 15-05-2019 After 7 runs using the starter again a button burned... Ok now using this : https://nl.aliexpress.com/item/1-stks-V-156-1C25-15A-De-micro-schakelaar-Drukknop-SPDT-Momentary-Snap-Action-eindschakelaar-reizen/32860423798.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.27424c4dMeHV7i I think 15A should last a while :-) Easy fit in the thing i designed. Just solder 2 wires and there is your new button. Just bend the pins a little and all done. Use holder snapon button for this one.
