RC Podracer thingy
Description
This is probably a really bad idea.... it may be dangerous to even imagine.... I will post videos of how badly this goes when I finish it. I need to design the pod mount. I decided to switch to 70mm x 24mm luggage wheels from amazon that use 6mm hardware instead of the skateboard wheels I have... it's cheaper to use them (they are basically inline skate wheels) because they use m6 hardware instead of m8... some m8 allthread or bolts are more expensive than the suitcase wheels... and they come with m6 Chicago screws and washers. the rear wheel mount will be a little more complex since I want to make it steerable... I am going to set up the radio with differential thrust, but I want to see if I can steer it too with a servo (so it will steer while gliding) I also decided against designing my own pod... I found a pre-made toy to use in it's place (Han Solo's Speeder from the Solo movie $17 on amazon is cheaper than the time I would have spent on designing something... plus I like the design) I am going to make a radio/battery box to mount it on... I updated the nacelle center parts to give a little flexibility in mount location so you can center your props more easily... these are sized for 5" quadcopter props... with about 1mm of clearance... I am using 1000kv 2212 brushless motors and 30a esc's and I am going to power it from a 3s to start with... (I have a big 5000mah one... it'll help weigh down the back of the monster so it (hopefully) doesn't fly
