SN04-N Mount For Chimera Hotends
Description
There are plenty of fans out there for Chimera/Cyclops hotends, but none of them had placement for the SN04-N that really worked well with my setup, putting the sensor too far away from the hotend. This is my attempt to bring the sensor closer to the business end of things. This mounts on 2 of the 3 M3 holes on the back of the heatsink and lets the sensor extend past the heat block. You'll need: 2X M3 10mm screws (to mount to the heatsink) 2X M3 Hex nuts (to mount the sensor) 2X M3 20mm screws Offsets:(in Repetier) X offset: -9mm Y offset: 24mm I printed it in PETG since the heatsink does get a little warm, but it shouldn't get hot enough to melt or deform (I hope). ABS would also likely work. I printed it with 2 shells and 100% infill (for strength and since it's small, it won't use much filament). I haven't tried it yet, but in theory, it should do the job without issue. I've included the Fusion360 file in case you want to edit or change it up for your own use. I'll update after I've had a chance to try it out and see if it needs adjustment. Update: I may be wrong about the offsets. Also, since heat creep is a concern, I put a layer of insulation down under the mount on mine, which added a millimeter to the y-offset, but should keep heat deformation at bay.
