Portable Thermal Camera - AMG8833

Portable Thermal Camera - AMG8833

Description

This is a super simple and cheap portable thermal camera, made with a module from banggood and then a couple of items that you can easily pick up from poundland (or ebay/ wherever may be suitable for you). Total Cost = £42 It has been designed so that there is no soldering required, simply 2 parts to print. Parts Required - 1x AMG8833 IR 8x8 Infrared Thermal Imager Array ~ £40 (link at bottom) 1x Poundland £1 PowerBank (It's the cheapest kind of powerbank) 1x M3 nut and Bolt which is >= 8mm in length (you can get this in the assorted nut and bolt kit for £1 from Poundland again) Assembly: 1. Once you have all your parts, you will need to open up the power bank by popping the bottom of it off (see images). 2. Then you can put the circuits inside the printed enclosure (see images, no modification required). 3. Put your M3 nut in the recess on the back and screw the bolt in from the front. Done. You can use the short charging cable that is provided with the powerbank to then power the module, or charge the battery via usb. Hopefully that is simple enough and I hope someone else finds it as handy as I have.
