Generic IKEA VÄXER hydroponics growing media holder
Description
Note: The IKEA VÄXER rockwool plugs are no longer available. A generic IKEA VÄXER rockwool plug holder for containers with a flat top or lid. As in my other designs the bottom of the plug holder is open to allow easier insertion of already rooted plants together with the angled design for printing without supports. Two variants are supplied, a narrow and deep version which sits flush with the top of the container and a larger one which mounts above the container with a lager opening that can be filled with suitable pellets/stones for additional support of the plant. In the final installation pictures the slim version is used together with the largest IKEA SOCKERBIT container (58l) and a Hozelock Solar Air Pump to create a simple self contained deep water culture system. (The IKEA SOCKERBIT is made of PP-C so it may not be UV-stable enough for outdoor use.)
