Phone or GPS mount for Pontiac Fiero
Description
This is an extension to the dash housing that can hold a phone or GPS without being intrusive of the climate control controls. You can attach the device holder of your choice that uses those universal ball mounts. I used a cheap spring loaded phone holder from the dollar store, but any type that fits those common balls will work. You need to drill holes in the dash plastic on the side. I didn't want to have to do that, but it's the only way. I just used self-tapping screws. Added a fillet on the top so it blends better with the dash, the sharp edge looked kinda strange. **There are two ways you can print this:** I originally printed it with the ball as one piece and it was fine for a while, until I tried to turn my phone while the ball was tightened all the way; it broke off. So I made another version where the ball bolts into the mount. You would need a 4mm bolt that is at least 40mm in length, and a 4mm nut.
