MagHex Walls for Gloomhaven
Description
MagHex Walls for Gloomhaven ====== This is a set of walls for use with my [MagHex Tile System for Gloomhaven](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3530085). These walls have magnets and wire nail holes in strategic locations that allow you to securely place them on the MagHex center mag tiles. ------- ###Features * There are wall sections to work as both "flat to flat" and "point to point" so you should be able to build every scenario in the book. (Untested) * Want doors for your scenario? Check out [MagHex Doors](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3653674) that work with this system. * Three ways to use MagWalls with MagHex Tiles: 1. Press fit 3x3mm neodymium magnets into slots on the bottom of the wall segments. It's a friction tight fit and requires no glue. 2. Press #19 x 1/2" Wire Nails into recessed holes on the bottom of the wall segments. a.(Nail dimensions: 13.5mm long; 2.2mm diameter head; .5mm thick head; 1.1mm diameter shaft) 3. Glue MagWall segments to MagHex Blank or Terrain tiles. ###Notes * MagWall sections come in 3 types: 1. F type - Used on Flat to Flat sections of terrain 2. P type - Used on Point to Point sections of terrain 3. C type - Used to link sections together at a corner * MagWalls use 3x3mm neodymium magnets that you can buy in bulk from ali express or ebay. * The polarity of the magnets needs to all face the same direction and match the polarity of the center magnets used in the center mag bases. * The wire nails can be bought in large packs for very little ($1.50) from any home improvement store. (Home Depot, Lowes, Ace, etc.) * Some wire nails will have to be cut shorter so they wont extend out the top of the model. * These walls are under construction! Proceed at your own peril! (hehe) ###Changelog 04.23.2020 * Added Ashlar C4 corner wall. Thanks for the idea [bshigenaka](https://www.thingiverse.com/bshigenaka/about)! 03.17.2020 * Added Ashlar F4 wall 09.22.2019 * Added 2 more Wood walls per [Nephilim2001](https://www.thingiverse.com/Nephilim2001)'s request. 06.12.2019 * Added 3 more Ashlar walls. 06.10.2019 * Updated the Ashlar wall type with a deeper texture. The test print didn't have enough definition to paint easily. 06.08.2019 * Added a new type of wall! Ashlar! It's similar to Cobble, only not ruined. There are 8 pieces to try when you're building your next scenario! 06.02.2019 * Added 7 Forest Bush walls. Thanks to [RobagoN](https://www.thingiverse.com/RobagoN/) for the [original design](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2962115) and idea! * Added Forest Grass wall. Print at .4 layer height, 100% infill. Cut away the cylinder. Press magnet in first, then use a blow dryer to shape the strands. Thanks to [RobagoN](https://www.thingiverse.com/RobagoN/) for the idea! 05.30.2019 * Made 3 new Wood wall segments 05.27.2019 * Made 11 Stone walls segments! These have a cavern like appearance that looks very similar to the original tile art. * Added 4 Forest themed wall segments. The giant mushroom has to be printed in two parts and then glued together. I want to make more forest themed things, but I'm fresh out of ideas. Please post a comment with suggestions! 05.25.2019 * Split [MagHex Doors](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3653674) into their own thing to reduce clutter 05.20.2019 * Added 2 Cobble Doors. Went with a metal look for the door itself, but I may also add a wood looking option as well. 05.19.2019 * Added 2 Wood Doors! This took a lot more time and effort than I expected, but I think they turned out lovely. These are obviously heavily inspired by [Rbross' door design](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3290089). 05.18.2019 * Added 2 Cobble wall segments 05.16.2019 * Modified the wood corner segments to work a bit better 05.15.2019 * Added 4 Wood Corners * Added 2 Wood Walls * Changed Naming Scheme to better reflect where/how a wall section should be used 05.12.2019 * Added 3 Cobble Corners 05.11.2019 * Updated design of the magnet slot with a slope to make it easier to insert * After tested with earring posts, I found out that they did not offer enough magnetism. * Switched all earring posts with wire nails * Changed magnet and wire nail intervals to better align with MagHex Bases * Reduced width of cobblestone wall segments (save filament and take up less space) * Added some texture to the plaster areas of the wood wall segments * Added 2-tile wood wall segment 05.09.2019 * Updated design to use earring flat posts * Added 1 wood design 05.05.2019 * Uploaded the first batch of Cobblestone walls. More to follow...
