The inlet opening is a bit too wide to be reliably bridged. The box has thin walls and internal ribs to make the structure sturdier. Openings are reinforced as well. Total length of the PSU and the cover assembly is 10.5 inches or 267mm. The power inlet is on the side of the box to allow mounting the PSU on the back of the printer or device and staying close against a wall. The on/off switch is on the top of the box. There is also a spacer for the other mounting screw of the PSU that allows for aligning it with surface that its mounted on. The cover goes between the PSU and the surface. The cover should work for other voltage variants of the same PSU but I have not tested it.
