NATO Finder Scope Rail for Celestron Telescopes
Description
When getting started in astronomy I had difficulty using a finderscope due to the small field of view. I decided to look for unmagnified alternatives such as the Telrad but I already had a multi-reticle holographic sight and decided to make a NATO adapter for my scopes. These brackets are not quick detachable but I rarely pack my scopes and I prefer the low-profile and solid connection that they provide. I also made a Dual Nato bracket for mounting a green laser. Both the sight and laser can be found on Amazon or Ebay for less than $20 each. These are printed in ABS material oriented on the rear flat side. I would love to expand this collection to other scopes so please make requests or comments for other models. Currently I have models to fit all versions of the C90 , C5, C8, C11, and Celestron Onyx 80ED. I hope you enjoy as using these sights have made my casual grab-and-go observing much more enjoyable. UPDATE 8/3/2020 I increased the size of the C5 base slot to accommodate variations in the Celestron mounting hole spacing.
